It's time for Candy League again! 

Come join this fun and friendly youth basketball league for girls in grades 2-8, and play some hoops while meeting new friends!  You don't need experience, just the desire to learn and play the game of basketball.  We will place you on a grade-appropriate team that is typically coached by high school basketball players, or former Candy League participants.

The South Bay F.O.R. 2011 Tournament was held the weekend of April 29, 2011 thru May 1, 2011. Thank you for your participation and support.

Gym Use Policy, Information

The F.O.R. Gym Use Policy was created to provide all F.O.R. teams participating in youth basketball the opportunity to obtain gym practice time.

Youth Basketball Committee Meetings

Meetings usually are scheduled for the first Wednesday after the second Tuesday of every month. Meetings start promptly at 7:30.

Parent Rep. Guide

This Parent Representative Guide will assist you through your year as Parent Representative for your team. This guide covers Membership and Team Rosters, Uniforms, Tournament and League Payments, Practice Gyms, Player Loans, Non-F.O.R. Players, Team Allowances, JAO Invitational, CBO League, and other miscellaneous leagues.

Basketball Information

Membership and Team Rosters

  • F.O.R. membership year runs from July 1 through June 30.

  • At each July meeting, submit the following:

    • F.O.R. rosters (2 hard copies); send soft copy to Division Commissioner and Division Treasurer

    • Membership dues - $50.00 per member (one check per team made out to “South Bay F.O.R”)

    • Player-parent agreement (is needed before the start of practices and games)

182nd Street and Yukon Avenue, Torrance
Schedule Sundays, September 18th thru November 6th
(no games on October 23 - VFW Tournament Weekend)
Fee $35 per player
