2012 F.O.R. Richard Nishimoto Memorial Scholarship

The South Bay F.O.R. Junior Sports Association will award eleven (11) $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors who best meet the following qualifications:

  1. He/She will graduate in June 2012 and have an overall grade point average of at least 3.0.  The GPA recognized by this organization is based upon the 4.0 maximum numbering system.  Plus and minus grades are not recognized, nor are extra points given for special college courses taken (i.e. Advanced Placement).  GPA’s shall be based on the final grades received in the 10th and 11th grades and the 1st semester of the 12th grade.  Please make sure an official transcript is included so the GPA can be verified.
  2. He/She will have at least 40 hours of community service to any youth sports programs in the South Bay.

2008 Scholarship Recipients

This year the South Bay F.O.R. Junior Sports Association (F.O.R) awarded ten Richard Nishimoto Memorial Scholarships to qualifying graduating high school seniors who best represent the ideals of the South Bay F.O.R. Junior Sports Association. These ten students each received $1,000 to be applied towards their college education.
